Your dictation audio and text never leave your Mac.
Habla listens with Apple's on-device speech engine and formats with Apple's on-device model. There's no account, no cloud, no analytics — nothing to send and nowhere to send it.
The only time Habla touches the network: checking for and downloading updates. That's it — and you can watch.
About the update check
Habla uses Sparkle, a widely-used open-source update framework for Mac apps, to check for new versions. That check — asking whether a newer build exists, and downloading it if you approve — is the only network activity Habla ever makes. No analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking. Run Little Snitch or a similar tool and that update check is the only traffic you'll ever see.
